Hillside Getaway is the perfect home base for a trip to Southern Vermont! The home offers sweeping mountain views, along with privacy and relaxation. While the property feels remote, it is just a short drive (about 20 minutes away) from the town of Manchester, where you will find lots to do. It is also about 30 minutes away from Dorset (north) and Bennington (south) making it a perfect location for lots of Vermont roadtrips!

**Views, views, and more views!**

When you arrive at Hillside Getaway, the first thing you will notice are the views. The home looks out to the Taconic Mountain Range, including the tallest mountain in the range - Mount Equinox.
The property itself is located at the top of a private dirt road and very well spaced out from other homes for a perfect peaceful getaway in the Green Mountains.

We loved everything about our stay and felt right at home upon arrival (and so did our pups). We were greeted with local chocolates and snacks for us and homemade treats for our pups.

The inside of the home is thoughtfully decorated, bright and modern with a cozy feel, and is extremely clean. One of the best features of the inside of the home was that you still get mountain views through the beautiful big windows.

**Sunrise over the Mountains**

The mountain views are incredible any time of the day, but sunrise was truly magical, watching the fog lift and seeing those first rays of light rise from behind the mountain range.
There is a beautiful deck that faces out to the mountains where you can relax and enjoy your morning coffee.
Morning coffee was especially exciting here as the home also features a Nespresso machine. You can enjoy a gourmet espresso style coffee with just the touch of a button!

After a day of exploring Manchester and hiking nearby trails, the screen porch was the perfect place to relax, enjoy a glass of wine, and take in the cool crisp Vermont air. The screen porch featured the most comfortable chairs and cozy lighting. Our pups especially loved the screen porch as well!

**Sunsets and S’mores**

After relaxing on the porch, we stepped outside to make s’mores! The outdoor fire pit area has comfortable Adirondack chairs and looks out to the mountains.
We loved watching the sunset from this spot!

Home Layout and Bedroom Details:

Hillside Getaway is a two floor cozy home and most rooms offer views of the mountains. The home sleeps up to 6 people and there are three bedrooms available. A spacious bedroom is located on the first floor and features a king bed, a walk-in closet, and an ensuite full bathroom. There is also a second half bath on the first floor. Two bedrooms are located on the second floor, one with a king bed and the other with two twin beds, along with an additional full bathroom.
